Select the UV decal for permanent decal needs on smooth surfaces where no heat press is available. Choose the fabric transfer when you want a full color print on shirts, sweatshirts, or tote bags and you have access to a heat press or compatible application method.

Application basics for hard surfaces

Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry; apply the decal carefully to avoid trapping dust or moisture. Press firmly and smooth from center outward for best adhesion. UV decal materials are formulated to resist water and everyday scratches once adhered to an appropriate smooth surface.

Application basics for fabric transfers

Align the ready-to-press fabric transfer on the garment and follow your heat press manufacturer's recommended pressure and time for the fabric and transfer type. Transfers are vibrant and intended for apparel transfer use; garment care after pressing should follow standard instructions for heat-applied graphics to preserve image quality.

Sizing and compatibility

Sizes refer to the approximate width of the printed design; height will vary by artwork proportions. Verify whether you need a custom cup decal size for a slim tumbler, a glass can sticker for wider vessels, or a specific width for chest placement on shirts. If you require an exact layout or non-standard dimensions, double-check before ordering.

Color and care notes

Color may vary slightly between screen previews and the final print. For fabric transfers, wash garments inside out on gentle cycles and avoid harsh bleaching agents when possible to extend the life of the printed image. For hard-surface decals, avoid abrasive cleaners that could wear the surface over time.

FAQ

Q: Is the UV DTF decal waterproof?

A: Yes—the UV decal option is described as waterproof and scratch resistant, making it suitable as a waterproof wrap or permanent decal on appropriate hard, smooth surfaces.

Q: Do fabric transfers require a heat press or can I iron them?

A: Fabric transfers are ready to press and require a heat press for best results; follow your heat press manufacturer's guidance.
